Brain Infarct

Below you can see a brain infarct, it happens when a blood vessels supplying a part of brain is either blocked or leakage occurs so ultimately leading to death of that part of brain. Brain infarctions leads to weakening and loss of sensation of opposite parts of body. On pupil examination dilated pupil is seen, slurred speech is seen in case of left side infarct.

Risk factors are obesity, chronic smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc
