Guttate Psoriasis is characterized by small (0.5-1.5 cm in diameter) lesions which are tear drops in shape, many in numbers, scaly, red or pink in colour, spread all over body but mostly on trunk, but also seen in limbs and scalp.
Guttate Psoriasis is generally found in young age group, below is the picture of guttate psoriasis lesions as captured by us, this is a young male, this child applied some steroid over the lesion, due to which linear atrophic scars are seen over the limbs seen in second photograph

Treatment of Psoriasis
Psoriasis treament is divided into 2 categories 1. Topical therapy and 2. Systemic therapy.
Topical therapy includes application of Coal tar with Ultra violet exposure, application of anthralin in 0.1 to 1% concentration, and vitamin D 3 analogues.
Systemic therapy methotrexate 10-15 mg per week, psoralens accompanied by PUVA therapy, retinoids and cyclosporines.
