Lymphangioma of Tongue & Lips

by admin on September 5, 2010

We will discuss how we can treat the lymphangioma of tongue and lips, in the photograph of the patient shown below, shows localized swelling of lips and tongue, which is soft in consistency, causing discomfort to the patient while speaking and eating. Due to multiple trauma while speaking and eating ulcers are formed on tongue.

Treatment is divided into 2 parts, 1 one is medical treatment in which we used to give sclerosants like ethanolamine oleate and 2nd is surgical treatment where excision of large part of tongue and lips is being carried out.
