Pityriasis Versicolor

Pityriasis Versicolor is also known as Tinea Versicolor or Dermatomycosis furfuracea is caused by Malassezia Globosa.

Patient complains of oval or irregular hypopigmented patches (macules) all over body which merge together to form large patches. Patient complains of severe “pin-prick” itching just after doing some physical work which subside when sweating starts.

Treatment : patients are treated by giving Fluconazole, or Terbinafine Tablets or topical application. You can see the video below.
