Vaccine Vial Monitor

by admin on May 19, 2011

Vaccine Vial Monitor or VVM is the mark present on polio vaccine, used to check out whether that perticular vaccine is expired or working. This mark is basically a white square in a blue circle. As the time passes or vaccine expires, white colour fades and when this white colour matches with the colour of circle the vaccine is said to be expired and should be thrown out, you can check out the video of how viable and expired VVM looks like below on youtube.
